Orphest, an inclusive music festival in Surrey

This summer, I had the privilege of writing about Orphest, an inclusive music festival held at the Orpheus Centre in Godstone, for Kent & Surrey Bylines. My article “Orphest, an inclusive music festival in Surrey” explores how the festival isn’t just about the sound, but also a celebration of creativity and community.

I was especially struck by my husband's performance as ambient artist Falling Brickwork playing in a Grade II listed thatched barn theatre—dressed in white, surrounded by loop stations, introduced by lunar visuals and somehow creating a soundscape that invited not just listening, but inhabiting.
